Food was delicious. We showed up later than we should have and the service and food was still 10/10

Great location on Electric Road in Roanoke VA. Great selection of sushi and other rolls. I have strict dietary requirements and the chef accommodated me when he cooked our meal so as not to cross contaminate, which definitely makes it worth it. The hibachi chefs had a great sense of humor too which makes for a better experience.

Good food at a great price, especially during the lunch specials for takeout.

My son and I went there for a guys night out. Food was awesome they put on a great show! I definitely think you get what you pay for. We both had the hibachi shrimp and it was delicious!no complaints highly recommended will be going again hopefully as a date night with the wife 😊

The waitress we had was so nice! The sushi is amazing! They give you delicious soup and salad before your meal. Also the rice with shrimp, onions, and zucchini tasted better with every bite. Definitely 5 stars!

Delicious, we go often enough, the staff generally recognizes us. They almost don't need to take our orders anymore. Also sunday night they have a special where if you get 2 adult entrees you can choose an appetizer from their specials. Great deal. Also the calamari is amazing! My daughter loves the gyoza, and there are delicious vegetarian options!

Great Food! Love that your food is made in front of you. Great California Roll🤤! The cooks could maybe change up some of the tricks sometimes, maybe add a little holiday themed trick or along that area. Overall I absolutely love this place!

Always good food and they have fun while preparing in front of you, and they let you interact with them while cooking.

We totally enjoyed our lunch today..we had the most kind helpful waiter ever..I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family. Not only was the food absolutely scrumptious and our waiter was terrific.

Ichiban Is a favorite restaurant of my daughter and she wanted to go there for her birthday. It was my first time there. We all ordered variations of steak from the hibachi dinner menu. The Hibachi Chef Was entertaining right up until after serving everyone else their steaks, he joked that my steak would be ready the next day. I had ordered mine cooked medium well instead of medium or medium rare as the rest in our party had. I politely laughed along with everyone else. A couple of minutes later, when mine was ready, he said to me “here is your beef jerky”. I didn’t laugh. The steak was tough and I’ve had enough tender steaks to know that a medium well steak does not have to be tough. So when he called it beef jerky, maybe he wasn’t mocking me but referring to the fact that he could not cook a steak properly? That must be it.

Good food and good service. The drinks were great. Our chef was funny and entertaining. He gets 2 thumbs up from me. Never a disappointing visit.

Ichiban is a great place to go for special occasions. We went for my grandson's birthday. My small granddaughters had never been and it was so fun to watch their faces when the chef cooked the food with the onion fire "volcanos" and clanked his spatulas when he did his show! Nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff. The food was good. I especially like the yum yum sauce!

Put in my order at 4:30pm. Order was to be ready at 5:15pm to 5:30pm talk to manager at 550ish after two other customers came and went. Still waiting at 6:03 except now no one is getting their food. Only thing manager said is we are behind. Updated: 6:10 pm nothing

This is my favorite! I have eaten at many Japanese restaurants in the area and this one is my first choice.I know many locals may say, 'Kabuki', but for me it is here. It is a smaller warm inviting dining experience. The staff is polite and accommodating to the party needs, no matter if it is 2-20, I will always give my first choice to Ichiban!*the parking is great, the prices are fair and appropriate for the quality and entertainment, and the seating isn't crowded.'

Fresh fish/sushi and good service

I moved here from downtown Chicago and am SO happy to have found Ichiban. First class sushi, including presentation and selection. Love the sushi bar area and staff makes everyone feel special, from remembering faces to what your likes and dislikes are. Top notch service and sushi. A great experience every time. If you want good sushi come here!

One of my favorite restaurants. Sushi is great. Great sushi prices and hibachi plates. Japanese chefs that grill for you . I like table on front near sushi bar. Great atmosphere and fun to eat here. Love it.

Had wonderful service, and the food was excellent. It was my kids first time going to a restaurant like that and they had a blast!

The food was decent. The cooks are always hilarious. Last time there was grease dripping out of the hood onto the cooktop. Sort of grossed us out. But it's usually a fun place to go with a big group.

You have to wear a mask to your table. They'll cook it all right outside of the kitchen area.Food was great an id say the prices lower than Kabuki also they carry Sapporo dark. Will definitely be back!

Not as good as the other japanese steak houses but the meal was tasteful because of the I go to but they were ok...smaller servings then usual .. very clean

First dined here back in January for our Anniversary and absolutely loved it. We went back tonight after a client of mine mentioned that they have "All you can eat sushi" on Tuesdays. I was of course interested even though we love taco Tuesday at other restaurants but ohh my... Ichiban really hit the spot. Absolutely love the deal, for $22.95 you can partake in All You Can Eat. It is completely worth it as long as you eat what you order. You will leave happy with a full belly!

Great show and service. They aren't doing sesame oil/ seeds any more. They said there are too many people allergic. Not the same flavor at all. I wish they would've told us before our meal that it was an option by request. After I asked if that's what was different, they said I could have requested it. How was I to know it had changed until after I tried my bland food? But, besides that, the food was fine and prepared correctly.
